| Associate Director of the Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, he has been largely responsible for the major molecular biological thrust into cystic fibrosis research. He has been active on countless committees at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children, notably as a member of the research team that discovered and isolated the gene responsible for cystic fibrosis. |
