| As one of our leading composers, she numbers among her teachers Claude Champagne, Bela Bartok and Paul Hindemith. After a period as an instructor at McGill she taught at several American universities before returning as a professor at the University of Alberta. Her compositions have been performed on important occasions both here and abroad; and works have been commissioned by the CBC, Canada Council, symphony orchestras and the first Inter- American Music Festival. |
