| He is a respected jurist whose career as a judge of the Court of Appeal for Ontario has served as a model for excellence. Mindful of role the court plays in judicial review, his insightful and humane judgements have been precedent-setting and he is frequently consulted for his scholarly analysis of administrative law. As a founding member and past president of the Canadian Judges Conference, he has worked to safeguard the independence and efficiency of Canada's judiciary. Equally devoted to veterans' issues, he was named Grand President of the Royal Canadian Legion in recognition of his more than forty years of service. |
