| He has been a distinguished professor, an eminent scholar and a leader in the mathematical community. He is known throughout the world as an authority in combinatorics, classical geometry and finite groups and his advice has been sought by private and public institutions. Throughout his career at the University of Manitoba, he worked to develop and encourage young mathematical minds. By his outstanding accomplishments he has contributed to Canada's international reputation in this field. |
