Throughout his 30 year career as a palaeontologist, he has enhanced our knowledge of Canada's Ice Age. Curator Emeritus of Quaternary Zoology at the Museum of Nature, he expanded the collection of vertebrate fossils to include more than 40,000 specimens, making it one of the best of its kind in the world. His extensive field and laboratory work, which unveiled the presence and evolution of previously hidden life-forms, attracted international accolades. His long-term study of the earth's climate allows scientists to detect patterns of change. Generous with his vast knowledge, he is a popular speaker with the scientific community and the general public. |
