| He has given remarkable service to his country as a naval officer, a lawyer and a politician. During his tenure as Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, he added a human dimension to the Office, bringing to it his warm friendliness and unmistakable dignity. He has continued to be involved in numerous charitable endeavours and organizations. This is a promotion within the Order. |
