Governor General receives an honorary doctorate from the Université Laval

OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will receive an honoris causa doctorate from the Université Laval, in Québec. She will deliver the convocation address in front of graduates from the Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dental Medicine Faculties at the stadium of the pavillon de l’éducation physique et des sports (PEPS) on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 2:30 p.m.
In her speech, the Governor General will share her vision of State visits and the role of civil society in the current global context.
