Although his career ended over twenty-five years ago, he remains to this day one of hockey's luminaries. An upstanding individual, he has given of himself time and time again, agreeing to sponsor such organizations as the Alzheimer Society and Big Brothers and Big Sisters as well as a multitude of activities for children with disabilities. The influence he exerts, not only on the world of sports but also on Canada's young people, is indisputable. He is perhaps the best example of an athlete unchanged by his success. This is a promotion within the Order. |
