| He has championed Inuit business initiatives to create and expand economic development in northern communities. William Lyall is the founding president of Arctic Co-operatives Limited (ACL), a federation that includes Inuit, Dene and Metis co-operatives from all regions of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Under his guidance, ACL has become one of the largest federations of independent community-owned aboriginal businesses in North America. He has also served as vice-chairman of the Nunavut Implementation Commission, as well as on several community boards and committees. |
