Cinnamon Maple Marshmallow Hot Chocolate

Recipe for 10 servings

Hot Chocolate

Chocolate chips

300 g

2% milk

1 ½ litre

Cinnamon marshmallow

250 ml

  1. Bring milk to a simmer
  2. Pour ¼ of the hot milk over the chocolate and whisk smooth
  3. Gradually add the rest of the milk
  4. Finish by folding in the marshmallow
  5. Serve with a marshmallow cinnamon stick

Cinnamon Maple Marshmallow

Gelatine

15 g

Cold water

45 ml

Sugar

170 ml

Maple syrup

60 ml

Water

25 ml

Salt

pinch

Vanilla extract

drop

Cinnamon ground

pinch to taste

Cinnamon sticks

  1. In a bowl, soak the gelatine in 45 ml of cold water.
  2. In a pot, gently cook the sugar, maple syrup, 25 ml water until dissolved then boil vigorously for 1 minute.
  3. Add hot syrup to gelatine and whisk for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla and cinnamon, whisk for another minute.
  5. Dip the tips of each cinnamon stick in the marshmallow mixture and place on a sugar dusted plate and set aside.
  6. Use the remaining marshmallow for the hot chocolate recipe.
